Nice review...I've owned my pair for a month now. You've hit the nail on the head with speed and transparency. The tone of the ribbon tweeter is absolutely supurb as well.

Speakers I've owned and prefer these to include: Spendor S3e and S8e, Merlin TSM-Mme, and Usher Be-718 (still own the Ushers and greatly enjoy in another system).

The Volent is a great speaker and a hidden gem...I've finally reached the fidelity that I have been after!
