Home Speaker Asylum

General speaker questions for audio and home theater.

Not likely to sound good.

Most tube amps, even 845s, sound best with high load impedances. Maggies are 4 ohms and do require a low output impedance to give best performance. Connecting Maggies directly to your amps will likely make them sound strained. Speltz ZERO autotransformers would help with the impedance matching, but do nothing for the low power.

20 watts is too little power to drive Maggies to normal levels with most music.
