Hi Chris
I tried things like that before, also swapping the top and bottom drivers to confirm the sound and the rubbing were the same problem.
But I've had another go, and I have found a position that is a lot better than how it was and is liveable with until I decide what to do long term. Job problems stop me spending much money at the moment but still looking for replacement drivers.
