And 'mini monitors' will typically be too small for 6-7" drivers.
There are some exceptions in floorstanders of course, but with bookshelves, don't believe the specs. There's hardly anything out there that can properly reproduce 50Hz. Get a sub-woofer and a pair of PSB B25s given the music you like. Might not be a good match for your amp though - what amp do you have?
