...why not just run a set of three wires from the current circuit to the exterior of the speaker cabinet? One wire from the amp side of the circuit, one wire from the mid-point in between the two current caps, and one from the tweeter end of the last cap.
That way you could easily attach caps of various sizes in different configurations to see which works best for you. When you settle on a final layout, remove the temporary wiring and make the change permanent.
You'll arrive at your final setup much faster and have greater confidence that you've made the best choice for your purposes.
