Unless you meant to compare the Focal Electra 1007 Be to the Focal Micro Utopia Be, then you have some wrong info. The Beryllium HF units are not in the Mini Utopias. The Mini Utopias are an older design and had a version of the Focal Tioxid HF drivers. These are titanium with a titanium oxide coating.

Now, there was also two versions of the Micro Utopia. The first also had a Tioxid dome, while the second had the Be unit. These sound very different. The Tioxid dome is extremely fast and accurate but brutally revealing and can be bright in some systems and rooms. It was replaced with the beryllium unit, which retained the amazing dynamics and transparency of the original but was even more uncolored by being lower in distortion and more extended. Even though the Be unit is more extended in its response, it has a smoother, warmer sound. The Mini Utopia was also a more efficient and dynamic design than the Micro models as it was twice the size of them and added a second 6 1/2" driver.

The Focal Electra 1007 was available with aluminum/magnesium domes and Be versions. Both types are smoother than the older Tioxid, although the original Micro Utopia, which used a Tioxid dome was not voiced as brightly as the Mini Utopia. Any of these speakers sound great in a well balanced system.
