What are some suggestions for a decent sub coupled with a pair of Proac Response 2.5's. My room is 14x20 so not a large space though it does have a 7 foot opening leading to the rest of the house. I really like the Proac's but am certainly missing some of the lower bass notes. My preamp does have a 2nd out so I could use a powered sub which I'd prefer, Canary CA 900 pre and Canary CA 306 300B amp.
I listen to mostly classic rock, 60's and 70's, classical on occasion as well as jazz and folk, and mostly vinyl but am planning on getting another disc player again fairly soon. I'd say my budget is around 500 bucks, would like to stay in that area but am willing to go a little higher. There are only a couple threads that I've seen here regarding the Proacs which seem more like a bookshelf speaker but with obviously more bass response, just not enough for me.
Brian
