RE: Dahlquist DQ-8 Speakers

Carl J. Marchisotto was the chief designer and deputy chairman for engineering of Dahlquist. He designed and launched the DQ-8, DQ-12 and DQ-20 speakers, the LP-1 frequency divider and the CM-1 amplifier. After Dahlquist was sold out, He and his wife, Marilyn founded Acarian Systems in 1991. Visit Regnar.com. Regnar is staffed by former Dahlquist employees, who have a small business servicing old Dahlquist equiptment. I personally have not heard the DQ8's. I have a pair of DQ6s, which are smaller and were designed by Jon Dahlquist.

I love the Dahlquist sound, the DQ6's have remarkable life like vocals. A tribute to Jon Dahlquist's crossover design. Your DQ8s probably need new capacitors and woofer surrounds by now. They are probably 15-20 years old.
