About that clarity thing...and your Carver gear...the Carver amps are not noted for their clarity, and can have rather high distortion compared to modern tubed or solid state amplifier designs. So that M1.0T does not actually emulate a reference tube amp, and any tubed amps it emulated were from 30 years ago.Your all Carver combo is nice and warm and fuzzy. But you have a high noise floor with that gear and are probably missing a lot of musical info on the top end, as well as depth. I always found the Carver amps I heard rather veiled, not open or transparent at all, which seems at odds for your desire for clarity. You probably have plenty of power. But be careful matching speakers if you want to keep the all Carver set-up. The Carvers will mask the true sonic signature or true capabilities of many speakers. I'm not saying they won't make music, but your speakers will be capable of much more.
Sorry, I don't mean trash your gear, especially if you are happy with it. It's been 30 years since I had any Carver amps (or their precurser Phase Linnear). Just want to make you aware that there is better to be had now, and for not a lot of money. When you say "clarity" is a goal of your system, that also means "trasnparency" to me, and those qualities just doesn't jive with the gear you have. No speakers are going to give you great clarity and transparency with those amps.OTOH, if what you really want is a warm, full sound, with a little more detail than you have now, you are asking for something different. The main thing is that you're happy and achieving your goals. I'm just trying to get you where you want to go - which may be different from what you indicated in your post.
