They will reflect the money spent on upgrades of the other stuff, such as the CD player, if you decide to do that.
If you're dying for more bass, a reasonably-sized and priced subwoofer will fill out most of the bottom octave. I've seen REL Storms and Stratas offered for much less than $1K.
