You undoubtedly know this isn't an ideal situation. Very few speakers are designed to be that close to a wall. And it sounds as though what you're going to end up with is more like filling the room you expect to be walking around in with sound, as opposed to the audiophile holy grail of the stereo illusion.
Still and all, if you must do this, the surround sound speakers for HT are often mounted to wall by an adjustable bracket set that you can pick up almost anywhere in HT or big box stores.
I did this decades ago in a more primitive age of musical listening. Of course it will fill your kitchen with sound and your guests and you will have your "background music". Shelf gives you the option of not drilling into the speaker cabinets, which I suppose would be preferable in all cases.
FWIW, if you're going to do this, why not just invest in some less expensive in-wall or in-ceiling speakers that are designed for this purpose? It's kind of a waste of the Dyns...
