FWIW- I heard them set up by the maufacturer at the Montreal audio show last year. It was not a long demo and I did not use my own CD's.
My first impressions were of a very detailed, kind of hi-fi sound. Nothing was really wrong but it just seemed to me that they would appeal to someone looking for that type of sound rather than a more laid back, musical interpretation. If I remember correctly, at least one review I read commented on the fact that the treble could be a little much.
This is coming from someone using quite neutral speakers, PSB Stratus Silver i's and a Bryston amp . It is not a speaker I would recommend without listening to in familiar circumstances with equipment like your own.
