General speaker questions for audio and home theater.

I am looking into new speakers. I currently have ML SL3's with Vandy sub. I am looking for something that will play jazz(which the SL3's do great), vocals but also symphonic music better.
I have heard vandy quatro, 5a's, a number of the ML speakers but not the revel. I liked the Quatro however for the cost I would rather go with something like a used Ultima Studio 2
I was thinking of going with either a used ML summit, used quatro or used revel ultima studio2.
the ultima studio2 retails for about the same cost of the 5A's.
any thought's?
Most important-speed, transparency, soundstaging(most important), bass, transient speed, highly resolving. rest of system is Ayre
