Hi Mike,I'm thinking that (even used) this is more than I want to spend on a preamp. I have heard this piece as part of an all-tubed BAT system driving Wilson Watt/Puppy speakers, and though it (the system, that is) sounded like crap (a Panasonic DVD, Jolida integrated, and NEAR or Monitor Audio speakers sounded MUCH better, IMO). I don't pay much heed about electronics when at a dealer, however. I wouldn't mind trying one in my system, but the cost, the proliferation of used BAT gear, and the fact that I have no desire to go balanced kind of has me looking elsewhere.
