We have a set of these in the shop right now. They are very easy to drive, playing very nicely with our smallest amplifier, the S-30 MkIII. In fact, so well that in our somewhat lively room the amplifier is very difficult to clip. The sound of the speaker is similar with our larger amplifiers which suggests that the impedance curve is well-controlled.

The speakers were easy to set up. Being deep from front to rear, and narrow from left to right, owing to the dual side-firing woofers, they can be safely placed close to rear wall without ill-effect. Imaging is excellent, detail is excellent and the drivers are skillfully integrated, no mean feat as we are dealing with side-firing woofers, 2 cone midrange drivers and a ribbon tweeter. While being fast and detailed the speaker is also relaxed, yet carries a lot of authority as it is a full-range speaker, plumbing well into the lower 20Hz range.

The speaker comes with a nice adjustable cone arrangement, and my recommendation is to install button-head bolts for ease of movement until you have the final location sorted out, then install the cones. Break-in did not take long; right away the speaker was sounding like music right out of the box.

Overall the speaker is a very competent high-end assault. It is reasonably priced for its performance and is full-range so that there is no need for complicated electronic crossovers, subwoofers or the like, and easily driven by a 30-watt tube amp, with an impedance curve that will complement transistors as well. We recommend it.
