Thanks guys,
I'm afraid I did not make myself clear. I have just run an experiment in biamping the Maggies by themselves. I used 85Hz in-line filters from ACI to roll off the Maggies (high pass filter), and used a Bryston amp on the bottom end. Considerable improvement over running the Maggies full range with Wolcott 280 Monos. But, no base slam, no matter what I did. So my next step is to continue to roll off the Maggies at 85Hz and add the ACI Titan subs. I could run another IC from my preamp to the ACIs, but I am concerned that would screw up the output impedance of my preamp. That led me to the other alternative of running a line from the output of the Wolcotts to the input of the built-in crossovers and amps of the ACIs: the REL approach. And I wonder what it would take to do that since I don't want to put the power of the Wolcotts into the input of the ACI crossover/amps. I can imagine a dropping resistor or some such, but I don't really know. Ideas???
Thanks
