One time when listening to an ultra-expensive high-end golden-ear stereo, the sound was so realistic that a trombone slide came right out of the left speaker and knocked me off my chair.
I haven't been the same since -- now I strongly prefer stereos with no left speakers, and I also listen while wearing a football helmet (only when the music includes a trombone, of course).
If a golden ear says sound does not travel at the speed of sound, then you just agree with him (wink wink) ... so when you make an unusual statement about audio, such as stating that 3" drivers produce the fastest deepest bass possible, and should be used in all high-end subwoofers, he will agree with you (wink wink). This is just one happy "club" where no statement, no matter how bizarre, should ever be questioned.
