Maybe but this has nothing to do with the speed the sound waves travel in the air.

I think this has more to do with colorations from bending/flexing of driver materials as well as how wide of a dynamic range the driver has while staying relatively linear. If you reach the excursion limits of the driver they tend to get very non-linear, as in they refuse to move further thereby limiting their ability to track a large transient at high levels.

WRONG! The two things are not related to each other. The drivers ability or inability to track the original signal will create frequency and amplitude distortion but will not affect the propagation speed of the wave through air. Again, this is simple physics and you are simply wrong. The speed of the driver is irrelevant to the speed that a sound wave travels in air. The speed of the driver only needs to be fast enough to track the signal, which will show up in its frequency response at a given amplitude. If it can do this without major distortion then it is fast enough for the task. The speed of the sound is always the same (in the same environmental conditions).

No I don't think we do because you keep insisting that the driver must move the speed of sound to make accurately make sound waves. This is nonsense. If the driver was in fact moving the speed of sound then we would hear a sonic boom from it (like when a jet fighter moves faster than the speed of sound for example).
