Are you going to use the sub in music, HT or both. I have an SVS and it is simply awesome in my HT system. I do listen to music with the system and the SVS blends surprisingly well with the Maggie 1.6's, and has tremendous impact when watching movies. I'm sure it has moved the couch a few times.

Off the cuff, I'd say wait for the SVS. Which model you looking at?
