A mild dissent

I lived with 2ce Sigs for about 3 years as my main speakers, listening hours every day, but was never completely happy with them. My pair, anyway, had a definite coloration that never went away. There was a thin-ness to the tone that I never got used to, and sometimes they did seem to fulfill the Vandersteen cliche, sounding like a great speaker with a blanket over them (as someone on this forum said a long time ago).

They're good speakers, but now that I've moved on I could never live with them long-term. (Then again, I'm in the same boat as you. I've used several models I like better, but I haven't yet found speakers I can afford that make me want to commit to a long-term relationship. So take this for what it's worth.)

Vandy fans, no need to be defensive. This is just one guy's opinion.

Jim
