I would suggest Magnepans *have* to be regarded as "open baffle speakers" ... although you were probably thinking of OBs based on cone speakers when you posted?

Magnepans are certainly *not* harsh with classical music (which is what I listen to at least 1/2 the time) ... as long as the rest of the system is likewise.
