Certain speakers to me definitely sound worse bi-wired.

Depending on crossover/tweeter, I usually find bi-wiring to produce
harsher results than single wiring with a good quality jumper. It may
sound more detailed bi-wired but often with the loss of cohesion and relaxed sound.
