I don't find my Adire DDR kits to sound harsh on anything that didn't have harshness already in the recording! GIGO- Garbage In, Garbage Out for teh most part...

I have heard single driver OBs, multiple driver (mine are two way) and electro and planar panels (the ultimate expression of OBs?), and its always been a case of YMMV...

So, for the short answer- NO, I don't think that ALL OBs can be harsh. Its like saying that all North American cars are crap. Some are, some aren't...
