Back in 1412, "science" (ie. the Church!) said that the earth was flat and Columbus would fall off the edge if he sailed too far.

But Columbus thought they were wrong ... so he did the experiment! :-)) And he returned!

You said *you* did the experiment ... but unfortunately (for your wallet), you didn't notice any difference in sound. That doesn't mean BTW that there wasn't (any difference in sound) ... simply that you didn't pick it up.

All I was suggetsing to the guy (suspected EE) was that he do an experiment too. As I mentioned, I did ... and heard a difference (but, no, it wasn't a DBT in the presence of the Pope and the Prime Minister! :-)) ). So I'm happy to use Cat5 instead of stranded - they're both an inexpensive DIY effort.
