for themselves. they will read about a 1978 study of insufficient trials conducted by simple minded organizations like the AES. So rather than take home some cables (free home trials with no cost to these people either I might add) and usually with full 30 day money back guarantees - they will just argue for often YEARS and YEARS on audio forums - I know some of these posters on these forums back to 1997-1998 who have spent hundreds and thousands of hours and enough print to fill a Tolstoy novel on why cables won't work and have not spent even 30 minutes to check for themselves the mere possibility that the shaky science resting on the nulls could conceivably be incorrect.

OTOH I would not upgrade my wire without the home trial and the money back guarantee :-)
