I shall follow all of it -
I'm going to brace and double the walls and brace the internal walls - being careful to preserve the existing volume. I might try the sand wall idea on all sides except the driver side where I'll just double the wall.
This is an experiment with a product that looks good on paper. If it's really good, I will be ordering a sister. I have floorstanders which have good, fast bass - I plan to cut the sub off at 40 hz from the get-go and see what happens. My only concern is that the subwoofer will not be of sufficient quality/speed for the system. If this proves to be the case, an alternative configuration (larger sealed box) will have to be attempted. And then I will really have some questions for you !
In fact, the telarc pressing is back with it's rightful owner, my pater. I borrowed it for a while but a few years he switched to ATC active 100's and, understandably, he wanted it back !
