I owned a pair for about eight years and could kick myself for getting rid of them. In a large room with separates, they just sang. The imaging was fantastic, the bass rock solid and the highs silky smooth. I don't know how these would compare with similar towers (in the $1,000 range)today, but I wish I had mine back. The only reason I got rid of them was to try to please my wife, who wanted smaller speakers. I bought some Paradigm mini-monitor V1s thinking the metal tweeter was state of the art. I got rid of them after a few months. Too hot in the high end!
