I'm aware that center imaging depends on room acoustics and placement. Yes, recording quality too. However, my view is that if a pair of loudspeakers does not have center imaging as one of its major strength then it makes it that much less enjoyable with vocals and jazz. I have heard a pair of Triangles (I think it was the Celius) that gave a good center vocal image density, but I thought they were rather too large for my small room (3.5m x 5.5m).
