is the amount of plasma required to get down to low frequencies - low frequencies need a significant amount of air movement which, I would think, would also require a relatively large plasma. A couple of decades ago Nelson Pass (Threshold) demonstrated a prototype "full range" plasma speaker at CES, and reportedly after a few days wound up in the hospital with breathing problems due to exposure to ozone. Not being able to breathe strikes me as a poor tradeoff for better sound. :-)
