But the criteria that you emphasized in your post didn't relate the details of your perspective on such. What you provided was information about what was pleasing for your wife to look at.
Finally, speakers aren't as important as system gestalt when getting the most from your system. And, again, this was not mentioned.
No one can help you find a pair of speakers that your wife will find aesthetically pleasing. And we certainly can't help you find any speakers that sound good: as "sound good" is the BIGGEST moving target that there is. (The answer is every single speaker that you can think of; and not a single speaker sounds good). In other words we need a description of your room, your favorite music, and what kind of associated equipment you're going to be using, and what kind of detailed tonal characteristics you prefer. Without the answers to those questions, ANY answer is completely irresponsible and useless....
Apologies if that sounds harsh, - but that's how I see it.
