The JBL's S312 were black. That was fine with the old ferniture, but since we upgraded to over $8,000 dollars of living room furniture with a light maple kind of real wood, the JBL's completed out of synch. Needless to say the wife did not want them in the living room.
I'm mostly into classic rock, jazz, bossa nova and classical music. The S 312 were very good, but I always knew they were not the best, except when playing loud rock and Roll. I'm looking into silky smooth sound specially when played at low volumes. I do own a Denon receiver: AVR 3803, which play speakers of 6-16 Ohms. Too bad because, I wuld not hesite to buy the Odyssy nightingales, but they are 4 Ohms.
