Speaker Asylum

speakers choice

I need to buy new speakers. I was forced to give up my perfectly good JBL's S312 speakers because, wife did not longer liked them (different color) with the new furniture we just acquired. I do not have the option to personnally listen to the two choices I have come down to: JBL L890's or Wharfedale Diamond 9.6. If anybody in the forum has had the opportunity to listen to both of these speakers, I would appreciate your thoughs on them. It is my understanding that Wharfendale are deemed "better". I'm not sure.
