buying a random woofer, tweeter and generic crossover network is what people used to do to build a speaker system - in the 1950s. But it rarely worked then and it's certainly obsolete today. Woofer, tweeter and crossover NEED to be designed as a system for optimum results. You are MUCH better off buying a complete system for the same price from a competent manufacturer, who will not only have designed the system to integrate them together, but will also have measured the completed system to ensure it meets their standards. If you must build, to satisfy the urge to DIY, you should at least buy from a kit manufacturer who specifically states that they have matched drivers and crossover to a close tolerance to ensure that the completed system meets specifications.
