Being an OHM F user for many years (they are currently packed up in the basement). I, too, really wanted to hear the German Physik line, but the nearesd dealer was 400 miles away.

But I was able to find and audition another speaker, the Huff System 3, that also used the German Physik driver. See link below. For sure the Huff 3 out performed the F (I hope so, it had 30 years to improve), but it also had a key F limitation, most notably lack of dynamic range in a large space. But I bet it would be damn good in a a space up to about 5000 cubic feet.

Looking only at the specs (which can be misleading, of course) the Unicorn requires an amp of 60 watts but will only handle 140 watts (The F was 75/250 respectively). To me this spells trouble. The Huff 3 with it dual and separate subs best the Fs in dynamic range and looks like it bests the Unicorn as well. But it ain't cheap (I'm sure well over $30,000 by now, but I don't know.

There is no question these speakers have some virtues, by virtue of the Walsh Driver (German Physik bearly acknowledges Lincoln Walsh), that no other speaker I have heard can match
