From my experience, I think ur 300BXLs amp works fine with any 87-90db speakers as long as you are not a bass lover. If u do so, I suggest you try >90db speakers.
Anyway, the choises is so many, but u should define yourself first, audiophile or music lover?
If you are an audiophile, I suggest you try like -> Proac one se, Vienna Accoustic, Von Sxxx (I can not remember the spelling), Sonus Faber, Reference 3A and etc.
And If you are a music lover, try lowter, fostex, Cain & Cain, Omega and any full range speaker.
Anyway, I suggest you keep around USD500 for a good AC cable, it will give a big improvement on ur system.
