Speakers to match a 24 watt 300BXLS tube amp.?

Perhaps this is a better place to post this question. I have an Art Audio Jota BXLS amp in need of a pair of speakers in order to elevate it from door stopper status. It's a shame not to be using this amp and so I'm in the market for a pair. There are plenty of nice speakers in the 87-90db range to choose from but do I need a more sensitive speaker to bring out the best qualities in this amp or will an 87-90db speaker be fine?

Either a bookshelf or floorstander is Ok. I can live with either type. I've considered the Sonus Faber Cremona Auditors (love the craftsmanship and cabinetry on the Sonus line). Others, in the running are the Krell Resolution 3, Sonus Faber Grand Piano, Reference 3A DeCapo.

I'll be using these in a medium sized room with a Art Audio VP1 tube preamp a CD player and probably vinyl later on.

What speakers would you choose with a maximum budget of $3300 and I'm open to the used market. Appreciate any suggestions.
