I agree with the other two posts about the unity gain thing but I don't think your preamp has that if it's a Linn. If is does then you're all set. If not find a spot on your volume control when you use the video input(just a name I gave it for the post) that you can set it to each time you want to watch a video and be sure to lower the volume when you are done.

Main outs of the processor to an input in your main preamp.
The rest of the channels go to their designated amps.
Set the volume on your main preamp to a resonable level or unity gain(if you have it)and make sure you remember where that was. Have a movie fun night but remember to put the volume back when you are done.

You can also do a line source A-B input switch with line outs going to the amps but most will criticize you for having another switch in the signal path. I really don't think that would matter sonically. The A-B switch would be the easiest as you don't have to bother with your main preamp at all to adjust and readjust all the settings each time you use your HT system.
