Car speakers for high end audio

General speaker questions for audio and home theater.

Anybody out there ever use car audio speakers for high end audio? Reason I am asking is because I was listening to a jazz station in my car and I was liking what I was hearing a great deal. Maybe proximity to the listening area. Who knows but I feel that these manufacturers know how to cross over the speakers and for all practical purposes they are similar to the Tannoys in that they are point source.
