Here you'll find some nice information (via, classic literature).. on most of the noteworthy Bozak speakers from their heyday. In a very abridged nutshell.. Most Bozak models and individual drivers are not worth a whole lot. Some rare xover networks and some of Rudy's pioneering mixers are rare/valuable.

Most folks that keep on with Bozaks have either Concert Grands or Symphonys - the very large models. So there is an acive market for most of the variations of mid & tweeter drivers and the B199 woofers.. as these bigger speaker models occasionally need driver replacement. It's also a bit tricky following their model numbers.

That said, healthy Bozaks (I have some 302a's).. are very nice sounding speakers. Rolled off at the top end and a bit lethargic by today's hifi standards. But such a sweet, golden tone. Properly maintained CGs & Symphonys are terrific sounding speakers.

Sadly, their main downfall among casual vintage hifi collectors is the massive cabinet sizes of most of the prized speaker systems. They're just too big to keep for most people, unless they're your feature speakers and sadly.. people likely part out the drivers and xover units and put the big enclosures on the street. I'm not sure what i'm going to do when I liquidate my Big B's. The wife kind've wants them gone.. and i've moved on to newer stuff. I'm gonna try to sell them intact.. but take a look at eBay and you'll see that the most of the models don't have a huge demand these days.. and nearly all are exclusively, "local pick-up required". There is a nice Yahoo group for Bozaks.. you may be able to get a little more info on your speakers there.

If interested in restoration.. ping resident expert Pat Tobin.. a very nice and knowledgible guy with all things Bozak.

Good luck, Marc
