A friend of mine who has been a great fan of Sonus Faber speakers recently raved about the BE-718. The dude changes gear way too often. But the pair of Amati Homage at his home here in the U.S has always been a constant fixture in his system. He had moved to Singapore two years ago for a job, and had been listening to a pair of special edition Guarneri Momento, I believe, or one of the other Sonus Faber monitors. He ended up packing up the Sonus Faber and has been listening to the BE-718 ever since. I've heard them at different shows and have been impressed as well.
As for the midrange issue, could it be due to system synergy???
