I did have the Be-718 in for a weekend audition recently. It plays bigger than it is, and has respectable bass extension even when compared to much larger speakers. However, the midrange was disappointing to my ears. Diffuse and mechanical sounding, it wasn't very transparent or palpable. Although I can see where this speaker would impress initially, in the end I preferred the GMA Callistos, which I highly recommend you add to your short list of must audition monitors.
