It is world class. Just by seeing what they look like it is easy to imagine that they can produce bass. However, it is the quality of this bass that makes them world class. The designer, Brian Cheney, emphasized speed, transient response, high sensitivity and output levels, along with an inert cabinet to achieve it.
The cabinets are two inches thick and weigh in at over 400 lbs each. They stand about 68 inches tall. A recent measurement had the harmonic distortion number of 1.7% @ 20Hz/1W.
