Paradigm Signature S8. I've heard the first version at some length with a variety of classical and popular material. They are very fine indeed, very neutral and very smooth, with very even dispersion. They are very easy to listen to. And it's real: they measure exceptionally well. I would consider them to be a 4 ohm speaker with an anechoic sensitivity of 89 dB (NRC measurements), but your amplifier should have no trouble at all driving them. We don't listen very loud and have a large subwoofer, so I went for the S2 monitors, and we are very satisfied with them.
I haven't heard the second (current) versions. They are now making a smaller floor stander, the S6, too.
The PSB Platinum Series speakers are also very fine. I heard the T8 floorstanders and the M2 monitors, but only in very dead environments so I am not sure how they would sound in a normal domestic environment. They are certainly worth an audition. They also measure quite well.
However, there are other fine speakers available and I suggest you listen to as many good prospects as possible.
