an old roommate had a pair, his Dad's from the 70's. They rock and do a lot of things well.

One of the experiences that has led me toward this hobby/illness was when 1 of the midranges stopped working. Neither the owner of the speaks nor our other roommate could tell, so i put a Phish CD on and waited for a wailing guitar solo. Sure enough, Trey Anastasio's sound would only come out of one speaker as i adjusted the Balance from left to right.

The owner still didn't give a shit so i took it in to get repaired on my dime, about $70. If i knew what i know now i'd have both mids replaced and woulda bought the speakers from him.

there's something about large driver's that's really cool.
