I have Gallo 3.1s hooked up to a Citation II and Chardonnay. A couple weeks ago there was a sporadically occurring hissing noise when I turned it on. It would go away after a while. I thought it might be mica burning off the tubes. However, the hissing became more frequent and lasted longer. Now there is a slight chirping or squeaking sound. It eventually goes away. As I recall it has these symptoms when I plug in a different amp.
Anyone have ideas what the source of the problem might be or suggestions about troubleshooting the problem?
