I listened to the A-rated Plinus 5100 integrated and tube amps before buying my 1.6's . I told the sales man to quickly get that ss out of the system after listening but a few minutes. SS= metallic highs, better bass. I had two mono NAD amps running 440 watts per side,but sold them for 110watts per side tube amps. Power isn't everything. Unless your system is all-records, get a used tube amp such as a VTL.
