The best way to check maggie tweeters is to fully disconnect them from the XO circuit (i.e. un-do the spade-type connectors from each end). You do not need to physically remove them off the MDF panel nor should you need to remove the covers.You take your resistance readings by placing the meter leads at each contact end-tab of the tweeter. You should get a reading in the 3.xx ohm range. If you observe a null reading, then the tweeter is dead.
