and main preamp will come before the crossover (for now).The preamp pre-crossover will be controlling final volume. I expect that what I will need to do is find out what level on the integrated amp volume pot creates "virtual unity gain" vis-a-vis the volume pot pre-crossover. Then I leave the pot on the integrated post-crossover at its "pre-set" level and control everything from the pre-crossover pre.
Later, I think it would be GREAT to have a post-crossover attenuator. I have a very transparent attenuator lying around and that would be an interesting way of dealing with it as well, though I always found it a bit thin...
FWIW, I have another preamp lying around too... I guess that's always a route I could take...
What I was really looking to do was listen to it tonight...
