General speaker questions for audio and home theater.

OK. I love my Jbl 4312 . Great dynamics really big sound. Punchy Bass etc. I tried a pr. Of quad 21L and wow. Killer mid range and highs. But a smaller sound then the jbl. I like the bigger , effortless sound of the jbl but want the killer mids + highs of the quad.
What speaker out there gives me both ?
I like to listen in the near field 8 ft. from the speaker. Must have Bass to the mid.. 30â€™s . And I mean real Speaker bass not bass thatâ€™s sounds lower because of the cabinet.
Most full range only go to 40 Hz. And I donâ€™t want to use a sub. Because the 2 bass tones never match. I tried Tannoy nfm 10. but the sound was too stiff. Like a rubber band stretched too tight. And I donâ€™t like the metal tweeter that tannoy uses. The Jbl at 88db. Has a more relaxed sound then the tannoys 92 db. So what do I do?
I can get the JBL crossover rebuilt with better parts . that one option.
Any suggestions?
