but that was 1977. Adjust for inflation and $1800 becomes $6500. There is a used pair of M-1s on the SL website now for around nine. I bought my U-1s used for about 2/3s list. And they had freshly refurbished cores and newly hot rodded backplates.The differences are substantial.
